The Kent Potato Company – Finalist in the Small or Medium Employer of the Year

The Kent Potato Company supplies locally sourced potatoes to retail outlets including Tesco. Since RBLI started working with the Kent Potato Company, 44 jobseekers receiving employment support have been place into full time, sustainable employment.

A good percentage of these jobseekers had never worked before or had large gaps of unemployment and have been given the opportunity to learn new skills whilst working for a substantial local employer.

In line with the Kent Potato Company’s ethos to reward hard work, following on the job training, a number of people have already progressed within the company.

Angela Williams, who is now working for The Kent Potato Company, said:

“I cant thank you enough for getting me the job at KPC, I absolutely love it here, all the people here are nice and friendly and the management are great. This is my first job after raising a family.”
