Interserve Working Futures (IWF), has been confirmed as headline sponsor of the inaugural awards event organised by the Employment Related Services Association (ERSA). IWF is part of part of Interserve, the international support services and construction group.
The 2013 ERSA Employability Awards, which takes place on May 13, celebrate and champion best practice from across the employment-related services sector, highlighting the daily work and dedication of individuals and organisations in the industry, which supports jobseekers in finding sustainable employment and therefore making a genuine difference to people’s lives.
IWF delivers a range of employer and customer programmes, including the government’s flagship Work Programme as both a prime and subcontractor. The organisation has operations across West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and Wales. Having operated in the market for over 25 years, IWF is committed to supporting disadvantaged groups and the long-term unemployed into sustained employment, helping individuals, their families and communities realise the benefits of economic activity. IWF aims to create a service that encourages involvement, empowers people to make decisions and “brings better to life” for its customers.
Michelle Manson, Managing Director of IWF, said: “The Employability Awards 2013 shine a spotlight on good practice in the sector and provide an opportunity to promote outstanding quality of services that are delivered across the industry every day.
“The awards will become a highlight in the employment and skills calendar and we are delighted to be sponsoring the inaugural event.”
The ERSA Employability Awards 2013 attracted nearly 170 entries from across the UK. The entries were judged by Sarah Neville from the Financial Times, Matthew Oakley from Policy Exchange and Julia Sweeney from the Department for Work and Pensions.
The winners will be announced at a special ceremony in London on May 13, with a drinks reception sponsored by Specialist Recruitment Partners.
