Secure Homes and Work  – supported by Cognisoft

29 June, 10am -.12.30pm

A free event for all employment support providers focusing on responses to homelessness and vulnerable housing, getting people good jobs that ensure secure housing. Book your place here.

In February, ERSA attended a round table hosted by Eddie Hughes, Minister for Rough Sleeping and Housing to discuss how government and businesses can work together to increase employment opportunities for those who have experienced rough sleeping and homelessness.

Tackling homelessness and rough sleeping in all its forms is a key priority for the Government. As you will know, employment improves accommodation prospects for people experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping, both in the long and short term. There is also an untapped source of talent for many businesses which can help fill vacancies. However, we know many people experiencing homelessness can struggle to access employment opportunities.

The Department for Levelling Up, Communities and Housing and the Department for Work and Pensions already work closely together to provide employment and training support to those who have experienced homelessness and rough sleeping, working in close partnership with Local Authorities across the country.

There was a call to work with organisations like yours to understand what more we can do together to make opportunities available to support people at risk of homelessness and those who have experienced homelessness and provide a sustainable route off the streets – and encourage other employers to get more involved. We will also be joined by speakers from across the business and charity sectors.

This webinar is the beginning of the employment support sectors response.

The webinar content will include information for providers of Restart, Work and Health Programme. JETS, ESF funded provision, devolved commissioned programmes, Community Renewal Fund and your local delivery.

Hosted by ERSA.

Expert speakers will draw on their experience of what works:
