ERSA is fully supportive of the principles underpinning Universal Credit given its potential to simplify the current benefits system and make it responsive to changes in peoples’ circumstances. This change will be fundamental in helping the industry support people into work and help them progress.
Ensuring that Universal Credit is introduced with minimum disruption to existing employment programmes and will truly support jobseekers with the move into employment is a key area of focus for ERSA.
Please consult our Policy Briefing on Universal Credit for further information.
